Why is Couronne Company on my billing statement and not Mosaic Birds?

Couronne Company is our parent company and they handle all of our billing, payments, and returns. You’re still buying from Mosaic Birds, we just have a dedicated team that’s designed to better serve you and create a painless buying experience.

 

What are the return criteria and policy?

Our refund and return policies are simple. If you're not happy or satisfied in any way, you can contact our support team within 30 days, and we will issue a full refund for the items purchased. It's important to note, items should be in like-new condition, unworn, unaltered, and free of damages caused by the customer. Items cannot be returned or exchanged after 30 days from the receipt of original order. Should you have any issues with shipping or the state of the product upon arrival, please contact us right away.

 

How frequently should our feeders be cleaned and washed (for both dry feed and nectar)?

Every feeder we sell is made of high quality thick glass so it will resist bacteria unlike other plastic feeders which enable mold to grow at a faster rate. To clean, simply wash the glass food dish with soapy water in the sink. We recommend cleaning between each use. For hummingbird feeds and other nectors, diligent cleaning every four to five days is especially important in order to avoid developing bacteria in the feeding dish whether the nectar is being consumed or not. Change your nectar and disinfect the feeder immediately if you see black spots in the feeder or if you see cloudiness in the nectar. To help with this our Hummble feeders have been designed with a clear transparent base to easily observe possible mold, the color of the nectar, or if feed needs to be replaced or refilled. For the dry feeds, frequency is not as important; however, the food dish should be inspected and cleaned if it becomes visually dirty. Typically, cleanings can be done every two to three months or more depending on the types of birds that you are feeding.

 

Is it bad to use red food dye in my nectar?

It’s important to point out that red food dye is bad for the birds and can have adverse effects on wildlife health. Never use red food dyes when making your own hummingbird nectar. Also all of our Hummble hummingbird feeders are designed with a transparent base to easily observe the color of the nectar to judge if it needs to be replaced or refilled. Also our glass base allows for the hot nectar mix to be poured directly into the feeder without fear of disfigurement of plastics or chemical leaching.

 

What’s the recommended recipe for Hummingbird nectar?

Hummble Hummingbird Nectar Recipe Before You Start: Our Hummble line of hummingbird feeders only uses a 1/3 of a cup, so a 1 cup recipe is good for a set of 3 feeders or 3 refills for a single feeder. Never use red food dyes when making your own hummingbird nectar. • Ingredients List for 1 Cup of Nectar: ◦ 1 cup of Water
 ◦ 1/4 cup of Sugar
 • Sugar to Water Ratio: ◦ 1 part sugar to 4 parts water
 • Temperature Considerations: ◦ Warm the water on the stove or microwave (it doesn't need to boil - just warm enough to dissolve the sugar). Stir in sugar to dissolve, then let the mix cool down.
 • Storing & Filling the feeder: ◦ Store remainder in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
 ◦ We recommend storing nectar in a glass container to avoid leaching of hazardous compounds.
 ◦ The mix can be poured directly into the glass feeder without worry of disfiguration or plastic chemical leaching.

 

How can you guarantee the quality of my glass feeder?

We inspect each glass and metal piece by hand in our facility in Austin, Texas. We recycle parts that don’t meet our quality standards and only ship the best to you directly. Our productions are assembled, managed, and distributed in our main warehouse in Texas, USA We also study birds in the domestic United States and have designed and tested all of our feeder lines as prototypes before they ever hit production to ensure they actually work in your backyard and out in the field.

 

Does the lid of the Hummble feeder have paint?

No. The Hummble lid is made of red glass, no paint, no lead.

 

Does the lid for the Hummble hummingbird feeders screw on?

No, the lid is simply set into a perfect sturdy mold. You can easily lift and remove the lid for refilling and cleaning.

 

Are Mosaic feeders squirrel proof?

You can add the Baffle Dome to almost any feeder for a squirrel resistant design.

 

Are the Hummble hummingbird feeders bee resistant?

Yes, the 3MM holes don’t allow bees to access the nectar.

 

Are the Hummble hummingbird feeders ant resistant?

Unfortunately, some ants are small enough to enter our hummingbird feeders through the feeding ports. However, they will only be attracted to the nectar if it's been spilled on the ground below the feeder. To avoid this, we recommend taking the entire feeder down, refilling the cup, and rehanging it in position rather than only removing and replacing the cup on refill. If you're currently having issues with ants in your feeder, remove it for a week and replace it without spilling any nectar. The ants will disperse and have no reason to come back!

 

Which of the Mosaic feeders work as a bird bath?

Both the Cuban and the Baffle Dome feeders have enough width to be used as a bird bath.

 

Can the feeders with the top hook hang from a shepherds hook?

Yes, they can. You can also use the EasyHook rope or cable as well as the Table Top Stand to hang feeders. The Table Top Stand can only be used for the Hummble collection.

 

Are Mosaic Feeders made of glass or plastic?

All of our feeders are manufactured using BPA-free 40% recycled glass & rust resistant metal. You can explore the design elements on each feeder page.

 

Do the feeders come with a hanging rope or hook?

No, you can add a rope or cable before you check out.

 

Does the metal rust?

All of our feeders are designed with powder coated metal to prevent rusting.

 

Is it possible to request products for my local retail store?

Retail Store Request: It is possible to request one of our collections at your favorite local retailer. All you need to do is use the contact form above and include the stores name, desired product you are looking for, and address in the message body. We will follow up directly with your local retail store and do our best to stock our products at your desired location. 

 

Do you ship orders internationally?

We currently do not offer international shipping options. Shipping promotions and specials only apply to orders made at www.mosaicbirds.com and shipped within the U.S. only.

How long does it take to process my order before shipping? 
Orders paid with credit card are usually shipped within 3-5 business days of being placed. You can check the status of your order on your My Account page.

What payment methods are accepted? 
We accept major credit cards including American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Shipping

Where will my order ship from? 
All Mosaic Birds orders will ship from 12617 Beltex Rd., Manor, TX 78653 unless other arrangements have been made.

How will my order be shipped?  
Orders will be shipped standard shipping via FedEx, USPS, or best way. Special routing information must be specified at the time of order or we will ship at our own discretion. We offer various shipping methods and delivery options, these will be displayed for you to choose at checkout.

Do you ship to residential addresses?  
Yes, we ship to residential addresses. However, customers categorized as a residential delivery will be subject to potential shipping up charges as deemed necessary by selected carrier.

Can I get expedited delivery?  
For an additional cost, we offer various shipping methods from 2 Day to First Overnight depending upon the location and products ordered. These will be displayed for you to choose at checkout.

How do I track my order after shipping?  
Tracking numbers will be available at the bottom of the invoice that is emailed at the time of processing.

Do you offer international orders and shipping? 
We currently do not offer international shipping options.  Shipping promotions and specials only apply to orders made at www.mosaicbirds.com and shipped within the U.S. only.  

Can I pick up my order directly from your office/warehouse? 
Yes, with 24-hour advance notice orders can be picked up at our office/warehouse. Please make payment arrangements in advance.

Returns/Claims  

What is your return policy? 

Please see below for returns and claims policies: 

  • Returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee in addition to all shipping charges incurred. 
  • Authorized returns will be in the form of credit memo only. 
  • All returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery. 
  • Please examine your order upon arrival for any discrepancies. 
  • Trucking damage claims must be reported to the driver upon delivery.  Failure to note damages/shortages on delivery receipt may result in claims being denied.  Claims must be reported within seven (7) days of delivery. 
  • All closeout and discontinued items are final sales and non-returnable/non-refundable.

How do I return products? 

  • No returns will be accepted without our return authorization (RA) number and must be returned with appropriate packing material. 
  • Any return shipped and received back to My Eco Glass broken because of inadequate packing material will not be credited. 
  • Once a return is received and returned to inventory, a credit will be placed on the customer's account for use against a future order. 

Disclaimers

  • Our glassware is manufactured as hand blown, mouth blown, semiautomatic and automatic production. There may be some variation in color, size and finish as well as slight irregularities that include bubbles or stress marks within the mold. These are not considered flaws. 
  • Wrought iron products are powder coated, but may rust over time.
  • Manufacturers using our products for product packaging must provide us with a sample of the type of closure they will be using. We will test the closure against each production of glassware to ensure consistency with the neck or opening of our glass prior to sending out your order.  If no sample is provided or type of closure noted we will be unable to honor claims relating to this issue.
  • Glassware openings may vary from production to production.  Couronne Co. recommends a synthetic T-top for all bottle and jar openings to assist in sealing the product in the bottle.  It is recommended that all products be tested for a tight seal.

Recycled Glass 

Are your products made with recycled glass? 

Yes, we offer glass products manufactured with varying percentages of recycled materials from 30% to 99%. The recycled content of each item is noted on our website at www.mosaicbirds.com.  To determine the recycled content of any product, note the Recycled Content % displayed under each product’s “Product Description”.
